Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about who we are, how free medicine support and senior care work, and how you can donate or volunteer.

What is Mattam George Foundation?
Mattam George Foundation (MGF) is a Section 8 nonprofit company in India. Our primary mission is senior care and free medicine support for low-income families, starting in Kerala.
Are you a registered nonprofit?
Yes. MGF is a Section 8 company limited by shares under the Companies Act, 2013. CIN U87300KL2026NPL101349 is verifiable on the Ministry of Corporate Affairs portal.
How does free medicine support work?
Eligible low-income families request support with a valid prescription. After verification, essential medicines are dispensed at no cost through partner pharmacies. MGF does not charge beneficiaries for approved medicines.
Who can register for Senior Care?
The founding pilot focuses on seniors in Ernakulam district who need emergency protection and coordination at home. Registration starts with an enquiry and home assessment. Details are on the Senior Care programme page.
Where do donations go?
As a Section 8 company, surplus is reinvested into charitable programmes — free medicine support and senior care — not distributed as profit to members. See our Transparency page for governance and donation utilisation.
How can I volunteer or partner for CSR?
Apply via the Volunteer programme, or contact us for CSR healthcare partnerships that sponsor medicines or support senior care. Dedicated pages explain roles, certificates, and partnership paths.
